Poetry: “The Village”

By Eddie Swayze

Rainbow electric lights

Glowed like sugar crystals

Through the windows – dazzling!

Electric guitar-shaped men

Strolled majestically on the New York’s golden streets – beautiful!

The rainbow-laden saturations surrounded me,

A dream impossible to grasp until now.

The rare moments gave me a taste of freedom,

A stream that was unreachable until now.

Rainbow flapping flags

Whipped like rippling rivers in the air – magical!

The pearls painted the flesh of the men into a variety of colors beyond limitations  – Beautiful!
